Bel Kai was founded in 2006 in Long Beach, CA by Whitney Wright. She set out to create jewelry that is as meaningful as it is beautiful. At its heart, Bel Kai is about simplicity - chains and pendants transformed into one-of-a-kind pieces by sealing hand-mixed colors, flowers, and artwork into settings.
Over time, Bel Kai grew into more than just a jewelry brand. It became a creative partner for loyal customers, non-profits, and organizations seeking thoughtful gifts or fundraisers, and even a platform to spotlight local musicians and artists through exclusive collections.
In 2009, Bel Kai launched its online shop, and by 2013, the Bel Kai Jewelry Bar was born—a space where customers could craft their own unique pieces from handmade and curated components, tailored to every style and personality.
In February 2021, a partnership with Vida Plena was established. Every day, the beautiful, hard-working women at Vida Plena are creating Bel Kai jewelry.
